This will help Thailand host big events in the future, Kreingkrai Kanjanapokin, co-CEO of Index Creative Village and president of the Event Management Association (EMA), said last week.

Ministry aims for 30 million tourist arrivals a year by 2015 06-09-2011

The Tourism and Sports Ministry has set a target of attracting 30 million arrivals a year, generating annual income of Bt2 trillion, within four years. In support of the goal, the "Miracle Thailand Year 2011-2012" campaign will be launched, to run concurrently with the existing national campaign, "Amazing Thailand", Tourism and Sports Minister Chumpol Silapa-archa said. 

The new campaign will comprise 40 individual tourism projects and activities, and cost an estimated Bt3 billion.
